Coconut shell activated carbon is a type of activated carbon made from coconut shells. Coconut shell activated carbon has a high specific surface area and rich pore structure, so it shows excellent adsorption capacity, separation performance and catalytic performance. It is often used in air purification, water treatment, food industry, pharmaceutical industry, chemical industry and other fields.
The production line of coconut shell activated carbon mainly includes the following processes:
Raw material pretreatment: Firstly, the raw materials are crushed and screened to a size of 1-3cm. Then they enter the rotary dryer, utilizing the residual heat of the production line as a heat source to control the moisture content of the raw materials at 8-15%. The exhaust gas of the dryer is treated by dust removal and smoke washing to meet emission standards.
Carbonization process: Indirect heating is used to carbonize the coconut shells at a temperature of 650-850°C. The rotary drum of the carbonization furnace is made of high-temperature resistant stainless steel and is fully sealed with a slight negative pressure. The combustible gas generated during the carbonization process is used as fuel to provide heat for carbonization without the need for additional fuel. The carbonized coconut shell charcoal can be directly activated or processed after cooling as a finished product.
Activation process: The coconut shell charcoal is activated using direct heating at a temperature of 850-950°C for 60-120 minutes. The rotary drum of the activation furnace is lined with refractory material and is fully sealed with a slight negative pressure. Natural gas/oil is used as fuel, and the temperature, residence time, steam usage, and oxygen supplementation can be precisely controlled to produce coconut shell activated carbon with various specifications.
1.Cooling process: Water-cooled spiral conveyors and rotary coolers are used for indirect water cooling.
2.Waste gas treatment: Treatment of the waste gas generated during the carbonization and activation processes, including secondary combustion, steam generation from waste heat, waste heat recovery, temperature adjustment, pulse dust removal, wet acid removal, etc. Harmful substances in the waste gas can be removed while maximizing the utilization of waste heat.
3.Product processing: Crushing, grinding, screening, and packaging of the activated carbon.
1.High carbonization yield: 5-6 tons of raw materials can produce one ton of activated carbon. Carbonization and activation are carried out in an oxygen-free environment, minimizing carbon burnout. The carbonization furnace can control carbonization through segmented temperature control.
2.Adjustable and controllable product quality: The production process parameters are adjustable and controllable, enabling the production of coconut shell activated carbon with different specifications.
3.High degree of automation: The entire set of equipment adopts PLC automated control, with multiple sensors installed at various process nodes to ensure safety. The process parameters of the equipment can be automatically adjusted through the PLC, offering strong flexibility and requiring minimal manpower.
4.Large production capacity: 5-20t/d.
